Abigail Anna Myers
Myers’ process begins with a thought, a feeling, a momentary fleeting image or line of prose. Working in a variety of media she produces abstract pieces, which may be loose and painterly or contain bold graphic patterns. Text is a regular feature in these works, in the form of poetic lines or philosophical mantras. Both image and words are left ambiguous for the viewer to arrive at their own interpretation. Another medium practiced by Myers is photography, which she uses to capture her unique and peculiar perspective of the world; the dark splendour of the mundane, the imperfections of life and ultimately the beauty of small things.
Myers has a BA Fine Art from Portsmouth University.
